The events of this series start with a huge raid in retaliation for a previous raid, as Sheikh Ibn Safi, a fierce warrior, wages a raid against Sheikh Rajeh's tribe, so Sheikh Ib Safi kills a man called Ma'di, so Toroush, the dead man's widow, throws herself over her husband's body, which calls Ibn Safi's attention and she rushes to him shouting and begging him to kill her as not to leave her to be humiliated after him. Ibn Safi is shocked by her tragic reaction and tries to justify this cruelty to her, and it seems to him that this woman has no family, so he throws her a bag of money and says: This is a wergild for your husband, and I'm Sheikh Ibn Safi, if you ever face any hardship come to me.
