

The series deals with the regime of “As’ad Pasha Al-Azem” who ruled Damascus at the beginning of the eighteenth century i.e. in 1743 and the top highlighted events of that period from building the famous Al-Azem palace & Khan As’ad Pasha on the expenses of the people of Damascus, locusts swarm over the state, to conflicts between Janissaries & Al Zerbawat and the death & destruction it brought to the people of Damascus. The series also reveals some aspects of life of the governor, “As’ad Pasha” and that family who ruled Damascus for nearly 15 years. Although it highlights the dark side of that period, yet the show also monitors the economic, social and commercial life of Damascus through telling stories of people trying to improve their lives again through loving each other, strengthen their national patriotism and affiliation to their homeland.
