Jordanian from Syrian origins. Beautiful, loving, wise, leader and sensitive. And she is the core of the friendship between a group of friends who run an association to care for the refugees in camps, which Nada is its chief. Although she suffers from a terminal disease that she doesn’t talk about and she’d rather face it on her own, she maintains her duty to protect and assist all family and friends who turn to her when they have problems, and to all of those who turn to the association. Her personal concern is that she has a son from a previous marriage that she hasn’t seen for many years, since she and her husband were separated. She is always haunted by him and his voice, especially after knowing about her disease. She tries to search for him, but to no avail. She gets into a fight with Karim, especially when he uses the association as a mask to cover up on smuggling girls out of the camp.

Born in Jordan, yet based in Syria, a close friend of the heroine of the series, Nada, and a treasurer of her secrets, as she is the only one to whom Nada reveals her cancer diagnosis. Beautiful, elegant and modest, she enjoys the finer things in life and loves to read literary books. She is light-hearted and loved by friends. She works at the charitable association concerned with refugee matters as a main founder and coach for the girls. As for herself, she too is haunted by her past, as she remembers the incident when she ran over an Egyptian man, causing him to go blind. She then decides to take him to work as a gardener in her house, yet doesn’t tell him that she’s the reason for his injury. She asks her husband all the time, the famous doctor Jawad, to perform an operation on the man. The operation is performed by a foreign doctor who visits Jordan in coordination with Jawad, and he thus regains his ability to see. As he refuses her presence at first, but he forgives her later on because of the experiences they went through together and his awareness of the kindness of her heart. She also shelters Qamar in her home, a refugee girl who was smuggled out of the camp.

Karim Shams El Din is a famous and successful Lebanese business man. He owns a five-star chain of restaurants in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which is the center of his work. He is humanitarianly concerned with refugees who were displaced from their country by war, so we see him keen to provide material and moral support to them inside and outside the refugee camps. That leads him to meet “The Girl Friends Association” where he gives a huge amount of money to the donation campaign established by the association. But, in reality, he is quite the opposite, as he has inhumane and even criminal aims against the refugees, specially the female refugees, as he runs a human trafficking gang. Then we realize that he has partners inside and outside the camp to attract girls under the pretext of employing them in Arab and foreign countries. He is also a part of a large mafia based in Georgia. The psychological motives of the character are his mother’s bad relationship with his father, which ended with his mother killing his father right in front of Karim, the child. Hence, his bad relationship with women is shown in the way he treats his wife, Nora. Karim experienced such difficult and harsh conditions in his childhood and youth, all of which formed his sadistic personality and the person he turned to be.

A Jordanian in his late fifties. A well-educated novelist and journalist. He resigns from his journalistic job to devote himself to writing his novel, which he outlines through a rough manuscript. Calm, thoughtful, open and affectionate, very loving towards his wife, his son, Tarek, and his daughter Siba whom works as a journalist. We see how they treat him as a friend who listens to their concerns and problems. We also see him dealing with fear for his family and always striving to protect it from disintegration. The events of his novel are inspired by his personal life, specifically the story of his wife, Nada, and her friends, who run a charity concerned with helping refugee women and managing their affairs.

A Lebanese woman who has lived in the capital, Amman, since her marriage to the wealthy and well-known businessman, Karim Shams El-Din. Their relationship is bad and he treats her in a cruel manner as he’s psychotically disturbed. The dispute between them deepened after Karim caused a miscarriage of her pregnancy. She evaded this reality by doing a lot of shopping and going to bars until her life was almost devoid of everything except for these two things, in addition to her distant memories when she was just a girl living in the village and in a love affair with a young man there. We realize throughout the events that she ran away with Karim without her family's consent. Her life changes when she gets to know Wafaa in the hospital after her suicide attempt. She asks her to visit the association where she takes on the task of teaching children the English language that she is fluent in. That annoys Karim very much and he tries to convince her to quit, but his attempts go in vain. By chance, she meets Zaid, an Interpol man from Lebanon who works to trap the human trafficking gang. He is the same young man she loved in the village, but for fear of Karim, she puts an end to him. But when Zaid insists on protecting her after knowing that she is the wife of the head suspect in the case, they start to meet secretly. However, Karim discovers that and he imprisons her in his private farm under the guard of his men as a response. The events end with the collapse of Karim's empire and his escape. She cooperates with the security men in order to arrest him. At the end, Zaid kills Karim and frees Noura from him as he uses her as a human shield to be able to escape.

A Syrian, skinny man with an average height. He’s funny and has cunning and kind features at the same time. He has a shop in the refugee camp and he does any service for anyone as long as they can pay the price. He is smart and ambitious despite his appearance that makes him seem simple. In fact, he is beyond all that as we discover that he is a member of a human trafficking gang that smuggles girls from the camp with the help of one of the camp’s women. Through which he convinces the girls to go out to work. After the car accident in which Qamar and the girls were in heading from the camp to the capital, Amman, the gang gives him an order to kill Qamar's father and then Qamar. He sneaks into the hospital where she lies, but he fails to kill her, so the gang issues an order to murder him. However, he manages to escape for some time and then, he voluntarily returns to Karim (the head of the gang), offering him to work with him. Karim agrees and that makes Adham, Karim's assistant, angry and so, he kills Azzam after many interesting and competitive events between them.
